Software Quality Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of in-house automated and functional test scripts and tooling covering functional, system, API, integration, UI, and regression testing
• Write automated end-to-end platform tests to ensure product reliability for internal and external users
• Work collaboratively with Platform, Product, and DevOps teams to deploy and run automated tests within CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with quality engineers and developers to increase automation coverage and enhance existing frameworks
• Participate in technical planning, code reviews, and architectural decision-making

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar post-secondary program
• Previous internship experience focused on quality assurance or testing of web applications
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Ruby
• Prior experience with API and UI test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, or Mocha)
• Understanding of scalable system design and web-based API testing
• Experience working with relational databases
• Ability to identify potential quality issues and technical debt to ensure code stability
