Software Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure software reliability, test automation, and continuous quality improvement across the SDLC
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to define user story acceptance criteria
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools
• Design and execute comprehensive test suites covering functional, regression, exploratory, and performance testing
• Manage the defect lifecycle, test artifacts, and test repositories
• Lead system integration testing and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, Cypress, or EggPlant
• Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, or C# for test scripting
• Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and API services
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Bamboo
• Understanding of Agile methodologies including TDD, BDD, and exploratory testing
• Experience with containerized testing in Docker or Kubernetes environments
• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related engineering disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust
• Knowledge of application security testing (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, SAST, DAST)
• Certified Software Testing Professional (CSTP) or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
