Software Principal Engineer (SRE)

Responsibilities

• Work on all aspects of the software development life cycle, including planning, requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other engineers to define and implement technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the entire stack
• Coach and mentor junior team members within a scrum-based engineering environment

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional programming experience, preferably in C, C++, Java, or Python
• Proven experience working with filesystems or distributed systems
• Excellent analytical debugging and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrable experience using observability, diagnostics, and operational tooling
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively lead a scrum team in a global Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in performance engineering or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Familiarity with storage protocols (NFS, SMB, S3), networking, kernel/filesystem queues, and caching
• Ability to leverage ML/AI for anomaly detection, pattern matching, or agent orchestration
