About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop next-generation data protection products and shape industry-leading client technologies.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage environments.
  • Develop sophisticated software solutions based on customer business goals and environmental needs.
  • Implement test strategies for complex software products and systems.
  • Prepare, review, and evaluate software specifications to implement product features with a focus on device and serviceability.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of software development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, hybrid deployments, and multi-cloud VMware platforms (VMC, AVS, GCVE, OCVS).
  • Expertise in Linux OS Administration, specifically SUSE Enterprise Server and RHEL.
  • Strong automation and scripting skills using Shell (bash/sh) and Puppet for configuration management.
  • Proficiency in Java for system management and upgrade components.
  • Skilled in networking concepts (routing, DNS, ports, multi-NIC) and API gateways such as Zuul or Nginx.
  • Experience with Docker and YAML/JSON configuration structures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in enterprise-scale data protection or infrastructure products.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for deployment and upgrade automation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex multi-layer deployments across OS, network, and virtualization layers.
  • Relevant certifications such as VMware VCP, RHCSA/RHCE, or SUSE Certified Administrator (SCA).
