Software Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced features for Dell’s next-generation AI-optimized storage platform
• Collaborate across system architecture, platform engineering, performance, QA, and firmware teams to deliver highly scalable, reliable, and performant storage services
• Contribute to every phase of the engineering lifecycle, including design, coding, validation, delivery, and long-term support
• Set engineering excellence standards across the team to drive innovation and modernization

Requirements

• 8 to 12 years of hands-on coding experience in C/C++ and Python
• Proven experience with OS internals and RAID technologies
• Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture
• Strong foundations in system architecture and algorithms
• Experience working within Agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Skills in networking and storage troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Hypervisors, and containers
