Software Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop next-generation data protection and availability products for hybrid and public cloud environments.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and storage environments.
• Prepare, review, and evaluate software specifications based on product requirements.
• Implement product features with a specific focus on device and serviceability of client platforms.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products and systems.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of software development experience with expertise in C, C++, and Win 32.
• Extensive experience with Linux, Unix, AIX, Windows operating systems, and File systems.
• Proficiency in using AI technologies and AI copilots throughout the SDLC.
• Experience in control path, data path, and scalable architecture.
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as Esxi or Hyper-V.
• Domain expertise in data protection, enterprise storage, and storage subsystem APIs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python, Java, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with device drivers and system architectures including SCSI, cache, and message subsystems.
