Software Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage environments
• Prepare, review, and evaluate software and storage specifications for products and systems
• Develop and implement test strategies for complex software products and storage systems
• Design and develop sophisticated systems and software solutions based on customer business goals and needs

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, firmware, BIOS, and device drivers
• Experience with databases, embedded software, and firmware
• Proven ability to code and debug flexible, scalable, and complex programs
• Experience working with multiple hardware platforms, tools, and utilities
• Ability to learn new tools, languages, and operating systems through on-the-job experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years of related professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
