About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, own, and maintain software architecture with a focus on interface clarity, stability, and versioning
- Lead agile software delivery by facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and removing impediments
- Serve as the Agile/Delivery lead, owning backlog prioritization and ensuring timely delivery of increments
- Lead DevSecOps and CI/CD practices to ensure repeatable builds, automated testing, and artifact traceability
- Define and enforce software integration contracts, data models, and message definitions
- Manage supplier and subcontractor software deliverables to ensure alignment with team processes
- Coach and mentor engineers on agile practices, test automation, and code quality
- Drive verification and validation execution, including the development of test strategies and defect triage
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of experience leading efforts in translating requirements into system architecture and software designs
- 5+ years of experience with the DevSecOps lifecycle
- 5+ years of experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, or other CI/CD platforms
- 5+ years of experience with configuration management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Git, VersionOne)
- 1+ years of proficiency with scripting or programming languages for automation, such as Python or Bash
- Experience as an Agile Systems or Software Development Team Lead
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant engineering or computer science field
- Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (or clearance active within the past 24 months)
- Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist
- Experience with real-time embedded software (C/C++), low-level drivers, or FPGAs
- Experience with cloud-native infrastructures like Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS GovCloud
- Experience with model-based design and SIL/HIL testing environments
