Software Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document application-level drivers for COTS/MOTS equipment
• Integrate embedded software at component, ECU, and system level
• Implement and validate communications translations across protocols like Ethernet, CAN, and Modbus
• Support lab-based integration, compatibility testing, and system bring-up
• Identify and resolve interoperability and interface issues
• Work with Systems Architects to close technical risks
• Track requirements, changes, and delivery status

Requirements

• Background in software integration, embedded software, or systems integration
• Strong C and/or C++ low-level software capability
• Experience with black-box COTS/MOTS equipment and vendor APIs
• Hands-on lab debugging using logic analysers and protocol sniffers
• Experience in defence, avionics, automotive, or safety-critical environments
• Knowledge of SDLC, V-cycle, and ASPICE
• Familiarity with Vector tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software, Electronic, or Systems Engineering
• Eligibility to obtain SC clearance

• Experience with additional communication protocols or networked systems
• Exposure to safety-regulated programmes
• Understanding of system-level integration and verification activities
• Experience working with external technical stakeholders
