Software Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build core infrastructure to allow teams to safely and quickly build internal tools
• Own Ultra’s internal authentication and authorization systems
• Onboard new data sources and develop strategies to secure them
• Ensure engineering does not become a bottleneck for internal stats pages or systems

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with different programming paradigms
• Experience with authentication, authorization, and managing agent access
• Proven ability to deploy high-quality production code within a software team
• Ability to thrive in a high-trust, high-autonomy, and fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience building authentication or authorization systems at another company
• Strong technical opinions regarding Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Experience as a software generalist working across various software systems
