Software Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive the design, development, and debugging of embedded software and firmware for hardware components.
• Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for firmware subsystems, including DSP, EFI drivers, and BIOS/UEFI.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned application portions.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with internal and outsourced development partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Analyze design requirements and determine necessary coding, programming, and integration activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in firmware development (or 3-5 years with an advanced degree).
• Strong proficiency in C and C++.
• Experience with embedded systems and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Proficiency in Python and Git version control.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and debugging techniques.
