Software Engineering Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Manage a highly qualified and technical team
• Collaborate with product areas and the development engineering team
• Conduct thorough code reviews and assist with complex architectural decisions
• Monitor code deployment to production and share status updates
• Mentor and develop new talents through 1:1s and Individual Development Plans (IDP)
• Work on strategic projects and evolve the payments platform
• Create weekly progress reports for stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven experience designing, implementing, and deploying software solutions
• Proven experience leading a team of software engineers
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages
• Strong interest in data structures, concurrency, persistence, and distributed systems
• Expertise in Git or other collaborative version control systems
• Advanced English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Strong vision for software quality and system decomposition

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure monitoring
• Expertise in functional or logic programming languages
• Knowledge of SQL and relational/non-relational databases
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience with serverless architecture and distributed/asynchronous systems
• Knowledge of computer networks, latency, and routing optimization
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and onboarding lifecycles
