Software Engineering Specialist

Responsibilities

• Write and test code in an incremental, agile, and well-documented manner
• Perform thorough code reviews and assist teammates with complex architectural decisions
• Continuously test and deploy code to production
• Develop new tools to facilitate team workflows
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, Risk, and Business Development departments
• Work on strategic projects and evolve the payments platform
• Maintain a high-availability system (99.9%+) with high throughput (100+ TPS)

Requirements

• Experience designing, implementing, and deploying software solutions to production
• Strong interest in data structures, concurrency, persistence, and distributed systems
• Expertise in Git or other collaborative version control systems
• Strong vision for software quality, system evolution, and problem decomposition
• Ability to learn new technologies, languages, and engineering cultures quickly

Preferred Qualifications

• English communication skills for global collaboration
• Experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure monitoring
• Expertise in data warehouses, infrastructure automation, or real-time systems
• Knowledge of computer networks, latency, and routing optimization
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Expertise in at least one functional or logic programming language
• Experience with distributed and asynchronous systems
