Software Engineering Senior Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of experienced engineers and engineering managers to build high-quality capabilities.
• Ensure adherence to Banking Platform Architecture and meet non-functional requirements for all releases.
• Partner with architects to incorporate technical strategies, including cloud readiness, application modernization, and data strategy.
• Act as a technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning.
• Identify and resolve technology roadblocks related to code, build, and deployment.
• Guide design and conduct peer reviews to ensure quality and alignment with technical direction.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to influence technology requirements and the product roadmap.
• Manage allocation of people and financial resources to meet strategic engineering objectives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of management or leadership experience.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

Preferred Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering with 4–6 years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience managing large-scale engineering teams (15–50+ engineers).
• Deep experience in DevOps transformations and tooling ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
