Software Engineering Senior Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop teams of experienced engineers and engineering managers to build high-quality capabilities.
• Ensure adherence to Banking Platform Architecture and meet all non-functional requirements for every release.
• Partner with architects and engineers to implement technical strategies, including cloud readiness and application modernization.
• Act as the technical representative for products during cross-team collaborative planning and efforts.
• Identify and resolve technology roadblocks related to code, build, and deployment processes.
• Drive the software development lifecycle and security standards while managing enterprise risk.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Owners to influence product roadmaps and promote DevOps practices.
• Manage the allocation of people and financial resources to meet strategic technology objectives.
• Hire and build a culture of talent development through effective performance management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of management or leadership experience.
• 4+ years of experience with Agile methodologies and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• 5+ years of experience in Credit Card and/or Personal Loan Collections within a financial services company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern software best practices, including microservices architecture, cloud-native deployment, and DevOps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
