Software Engineering Senior Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop teams of experienced engineers and engineering managers to build high-quality capabilities.
• Lead Home Lending Servicing Customer communication domains and scale across multiple scrum teams.
• Ensure adherence to Banking Platform Architecture and meet non-functional requirements for all releases.
• Partner with architects to incorporate technical strategies, including cloud readiness, application modernization, and data strategy.
• Act as a technical representative during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning.
• Identify and resolve technology roadblocks related to code, build, and deployment.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to influence technology requirements and the product roadmap.
• Manage allocation of people and financial resources to align with strategic engineering objectives.
• Hire and build a culture of talent development and conduct performance management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of management or leadership experience.
• 3+ years of experience in large enterprise environments.
• 3+ years of Agile/Scrum experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing geographically diverse leads.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• 1+ years of experience using AI tools to deliver business value.
• 1+ years of experience with Agentic AI, including designing and deploying LLM-powered agents.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Customer communications tech stacks (e.g., letters management lifecycle).
• Experience with case management and workflow technology stacks.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and implementing vendor solutions.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, database design, and Cloud-based service topology.
• Knowledge of the financial services industry and SRE principles.
• Experience working with IT Governance, Controls, and Risk partners.
