About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of software engineers and less experienced managers
  • Ensure adherence to Banking Platform Architecture and meet non-functional requirements for all releases
  • Partner with architects and product managers to influence technology requirements and product roadmaps
  • Drive resolution of technology roadblocks related to code, build, and deployment
  • Act as an escalation partner for scrum masters to remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Conduct peer reviews, guide design, and build engineering skills side-by-side within the codebase
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources, including performance management and career development
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle while maintaining security, stability, and scalability standards

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience, specifically with Java technologies (Java, Spring Boot, Angular)
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience in an IT environment
  • Proven track record of managing teams of 15+ technology members
  • Strong knowledge of Agile practices (Scrum, SAFE, Kanban)
  • Working knowledge of DevOps frameworks and CI/CD techniques and tools
  • Experience with Cloud frameworks (such as Azure, PCF, or OCP)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing multiple teams focused on regulatory applications
  • Hands-on experience with GenAI tools and Agentic AI concepts
  • Knowledge of Data Management principles and exposure to GRC platforms
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as TDD and BDD
  • Strong background in SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB
