Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of engineers focused on building high-quality Java full-stack capabilities
• Drive AI-driven development, including Gen AI and Agentic automation solutions
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of applications from design to production, ensuring security, stability, and scalability
• Collaborate with Product Managers to influence technology requirements and the product roadmap
• Lead application modernization efforts, including cloud readiness and migration paths
• Act as a technical representative during cross-team planning and resolve technology roadblocks
• Manage allocation of people and financial resources, including performance management and career development

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience
• 2+ years of Leadership experience
• Experience with Java-based applications
• Knowledge of API, Kubernetes, containerization, and microservices
• Expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience managing high-performing engineering teams of 14+ direct reports
• Experience with Bigdata/Spark and UI modernization
• Hands-on experience building highly scalable applications
• Knowledge of the Credit Risk domain
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
