Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 15+ software engineers in maintaining and transforming the Tomahawk Planning System
• Oversee program P&L, including responsibility for cost, schedule, and performance
• Create and communicate a compelling vision to inspire the team and achieve shared goals
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and accountability
• Build strong cross-departmental relationships to drive collaboration and achieve objectives
• Manage CDRL preparation and submission while meeting productivity and quality goals
• Utilize metrics and KPIs to measure success and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Active US Secret Clearance (with ability to obtain Top-Secret Clearance)
• 3+ years of experience formally managing software engineers
• 5+ years of experience with Agile software development methodologies
• At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, manager, or large-scale project management)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of domain experience in software engineering for government applications
• 1+ years of experience as a Program Manager
• 3+ years of experience developing and presenting recommendations to leadership
