Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Support, encourage, and help develop a team of engineers
• Assist with technical discussions, code reviews, and system design
• Work with cross-functional teams across different time zones
• Manage daily tasks and align them with long-term objectives
• Promote a strong developer experience focusing on performance and reliability
• Remove obstacles and clarify tasks in ambiguous situations

Requirements

• 7–10 years of software engineering experience
• 3–5+ years of experience managing engineering teams
• Strong technical background in backend and platform fundamentals
• Ability to perform code-level tasks including design reviews and debugging
• Proven experience designing and delivering complex, distributed systems
• Track record of building and scaling high-performing teams
• Experience with developer tools, internal platforms, or productivity systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of JavaScript, React, and React Native
• Familiarity with AI/ML-driven workflows
• Background in performance profiling and developer ecosystems
• Proficiency in C# and .NET technologies
• Experience with low-level languages like Rust and C++
