Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers through regular feedback and career development.
• Own delivery and operational outcomes, including roadmap execution, service health, and reliability.
• Drive predictable execution by managing planning, prioritization, and delivery risks in partnership with product stakeholders.
• Promote strong engineering practices across system design, code review, test strategy, and documentation.
• Partner with architects to influence technical direction, scalability, and long-term system health.
• Support a culture of operational excellence by improving observability and incident response practices.
• Promote modern developer productivity, including the responsible use of AI-assisted engineering tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including building and operating production systems.
• 3+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing software engineering teams.
• Strong technical foundation in architecture, system design, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and operating cloud-native applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft technologies, specifically .NET and .NET Core.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and modern deployment practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience with AWS and its services.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications or workflows in a cloud-first environment.
• Experience delivering software that incorporates AI-enabled capabilities.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
