Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Ensure incremental value delivery and high-quality standards for engineering teams
• Attract, onboard, and retain diverse top talent through coaching and mentoring
• Conduct regular 1:1s, goal setting, and feedback conversations
• Maintain transparency and efficiency in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and SEO
• Drive organizational development and cross-cutting efforts within the engineering management team

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience building and leading software development teams
• Experience with hiring and direct reports
• Strong ability to develop scalable and reusable architectural systems
• Experience working with distributed teams
• AI fluency with experience integrating AI/LLM-based tools into workflows
• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices and Agile/Lean values
• Strong communication and feedback skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-throughput transactional services and performant web experiences
