Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and strategy for your team while ensuring individual contributors own design and delivery.
• Act as a technical sounding board by engaging in design discussions and providing high-quality feedback.
• Establish a culture of engineering excellence, quality, reliability, and speed.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering and define the team's AI strategy to create measurable leverage in products and workflows.
• Coach and grow engineers, managing their technical development, performance, and career progression.
• Partner with recruiters and leadership to attract and hire high-potential talent.
• Improve delivery processes and manage complex dependencies across internal and external teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development and 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong proficiency in backend development, specifically Python and cloud platforms like AWS.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude) and integrating them into workflows.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams.
• C1 level English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Energy Trading.
• A track record of defining and rolling out AI adoption strategies for engineering teams.
