Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach two product engineering teams focused on ecommerce platform capabilities, including mobile apps and backend services
• Own team delivery health, sprint execution, roadmap alignment, and operational discipline
• Partner with Product, UX, and Architecture to translate business outcomes into technical execution plans
• Drive strong engineering practices including code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and observability
• Guide technical design decisions for React Native mobile applications and Node.js services
• Support the responsible adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve developer productivity
• Manage performance, career growth, hiring, and onboarding for team members

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams
• Experience supporting ecommerce, retail, or digital commerce platforms
• Strong experience with Node.js and modern API/service-based architectures
• Experience with React Native or mobile application engineering teams
• Valid Florida Driver License

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with composable or headless ecommerce platforms
• Proficiency with React, Kubernetes, AWS, or similar modern engineering stacks
• Experience with payment, financing, OMS, ERP, or CRM integrations
• Familiarity with SRE practices, production observability, and incident management
• Experience leading teams through platform modernization or replatforming efforts
