Software Engineering Lead Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud solutions on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Manage infrastructure leveraging CloudFormation, Terraform, and Golang.
• Design and implement Kubernetes-based platform solutions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Support and maintain large Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
• Develop automation for building and deploying Docker containers through CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and support Observability solutions, including creating dashboards and integrating with Backstage IDP.
• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate IaC practices and security scanning.

Requirements

• Experience in cloud & platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
• Strong proficiency with AWS cloud services (compute, storage, networking, and cloud-native services).
• Deep knowledge of AWS EKS, Kubernetes, VPC configuration, S3, and RDS.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Golang, and Python.
• Experience with ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
• Programming skills in Golang and/or Python for building platform tooling.
• Experience with Grafana, Otel, and Backstage.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with Crossplane.
• Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio and Envoy.
