Software Engineering Lead Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud solutions on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Manage infrastructure leveraging CloudFormation, Terraform, and Golang.
• Design and implement Kubernetes-based platform solutions focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Support and maintain large Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
• Develop automation for building and deploying Docker containers through CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement observability solutions, including creating dashboards and integrating with Backstage IDP.
• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate IaC practices and security scanning.

Requirements

• Experience in cloud/platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
• Strong proficiency with AWS services (compute, storage, networking, EKS, VPC, S3, RDS).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Golang, and Python.
• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions).
• Programming skills in Golang and/or Python for building platform tooling and automation.
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies like Istio and Envoy.
• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana and OpenTelemetry (Otel).
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with Crossplane.
• Experience with Backstage.
