Software Engineering Instructor

Responsibilities

• Deliver technology skills training and assessments to prepare students for software development careers
• Provide daily instruction, assessment administration, and one-on-one tutoring
• Monitor individual student progress and maintain Salesforce database with scores and attendance
• Create, submit, and maintain training curricula
• Collaborate with Career Advancement team to connect students with mentors and employment opportunities
• Work with Program Design team to create student content

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience on a software development team
• Working experience in both front-end and back-end development
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and Full-stack JavaScript
• Experience with at least one JS MV* framework (Angular, Backbone, or React)
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
• Experience with Express and Node.js
• Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning
• Ability to lift 50lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
• Experience with student assessment and curriculum evaluation
