Software Engineering Instructor Lead

Responsibilities

• Teach Sunday-Thursday, 9am-5pm (local time), for the 12 week duration of the program
• Commit a few hours per week supporting students and preparing lessons using existing curriculum
• Work closely with co-instructors or teaching assistants to provide meaningful feedback
• Guide students through the development of a final project to showcase abilities to hiring managers
• Facilitate a dynamic, collaborative, and positive classroom community
• Inspire students to persevere through the challenges of learning new skill sets

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working on a software development team
• Working experience in both front-end and back-end development
• Fluency in HTML and CSS
• Fluency in full-stack JavaScript
• Experience with at least one JS MV* framework (Angular, Backbone, or React)
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB or Redis)
• Experience with at least one additional object-oriented language (Ruby or Python preferred)
