Software Engineering Director

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the vCMTS software strategy aligned with the business and access network roadmap
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of software releases, including planning, execution, and lifecycle management
• Contribute to system architecture, design decisions, and performance optimization for cloud-native microservices
• Lead, develop, and scale high-performing engineering teams while fostering a culture of accountability
• Manage engineering budgets, resource planning, and investment prioritization
• Drive the adoption of new technologies, including AI/ML, to improve automation and observability

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of leading R&D teams
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, Linux, and cloud-native platforms such as Kubernetes
• Strong networking expertise and experience with large-scale systems
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or Go

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vCMTS or CMTS platforms
• Familiarity with high-performance networking technologies like DPDK or SR-IOV
• Knowledge of DOCSIS/PON or broadband access technologies
• Experience applying AI/ML techniques to network optimization or telemetry analytics
