Software Engineering & Development, Officer

Responsibilities

• Develop high-volume transactional systems and distributed algorithmic trading platforms
• Design highly available distributed systems leveraging Java programming and design principles
• Receive and analyze requirements to propose suitable solutions adhering to team methodology
• Deliver software successfully within an Agile environment
• Coordinate with business users, Quality Assurance, and Infrastructure teams
• Take ownership of small to medium projects from inception to completion
• Communicate technical concepts to senior management, architects, and end users across different time zones

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Working knowledge of Java and Python
• Experience with Oracle Database and database management
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge of system architecture and analytical thinking

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous State Street internship experience
• Certifications in Java, Python, or AI
• Knowledge of banking and financial products
• Proactive problem-solving skills and strong time management
