About the role
About the Company
Zania is building agentic AI for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) to automate and augment complex risk and compliance workflows. Funded by a Tier 1 venture capital fund, the company is scaling rapidly to serve enterprise customers including FAANG and Big 4 firms.
Responsibilities
- Engineer scalable, secure backend services that power the core product
- Design and implement robust systems for retrieval over petabyte-scale document troves
- Build backend infrastructure for complex, 1000-step planning AI agents
- Contribute to cloud infrastructure architecture to ensure high availability and performance
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Hands-on proficiency in Python
- Experience with distributed systems, large-scale data processing, or cloud infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hyper-growth or 0-to-1 startup environments
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React
- Experience with Spark or similar large-scale data processing tools
