Software Engineer, Yield

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-integrity backend systems to enable businesses to earn returns on idle cash with total liquidity
• Contribute to the architecture and long-term technical vision of backend systems for the Yield squad
• Own end-to-end delivery of core investment workflows, including client signup, investment, and redemption processes
• Build and maintain mission-critical financial infrastructure, such as reconciliation controls, unit registries, and investment ledgers
• Write high-quality, testable code with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and seamless integration with external providers
• Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and Design teams to deliver optimal business experiences

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience solving distributed systems challenges regarding scalability, consistency, and latency
• Mastery of backend technologies (experience with Kotlin, Vert.x, Temporal, or Kafka is a plus)
• Experience with cloud technologies (GCP or AWS)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with observability tooling such as Splunk, NewRelic, Prometheus, or Grafana
• Experience working with automated tests and quality control processes
