Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, debug, and document low to moderately complex software projects and programs.
• Participate in technology domain initiatives, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts.
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality and availability within the technology environment.
• Review and analyze technical assignments to research and select alternative technology solutions.
• Present recommendations for resolving technical issues and escalate as needed to meet service level agreements.
• Design and maintain Java-based applications with a focus on microservices and AI-driven automation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, or education.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring framework, and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in Microservices architecture and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as CI/CD, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of hands-on development experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices.
• Experience with TDD, BDD, and automated integration testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of database management, PCF, and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.
• Experience implementing Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) such as performance optimization and scalability.
