Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deliver software features and improvements across backend microservices throughout the full development lifecycle.
• Document software construction, testing, operations, security posture, and system architecture.
• Actively train and onboard new teammates to help them become productive contributors.
• Participate in code reviews and provide meaningful feedback to peers and senior engineers.
• Identify and resolve the root causes of operational issues to ensure long-term stability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure delivered solutions provide business and customer value.
• Mentor junior engineers through constructive feedback and technical guidance.

Requirements

• Solid experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
• Proven experience with microservices architecture and API development.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Proficiency across the full SDLC: design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver working features end-to-end from specification to production.
• Experience with Docker and containerized development/deployment workflows.
• Effective communication skills regarding technical work and delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS managed services such as RDS, S3, SES, and ECS.
• Familiarity with observability tooling like Datadog or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions.
• Exposure to multi-tenant application architecture.
