Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop unit and functional test plans
• Provide operations and maintenance of operational systems
• Modify existing software to correct errors and improve performance
• Analyze user needs and software requirements for design feasibility
• Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning
• Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures
• Design, develop, and maintain applications within cloud environments
• Transition legacy applications to the cloud

Requirements

• BS degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or Masters with 12-15 years of experience
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, and/or XML
• Experience managing and developing web software
• Experience with cloud services
• Experience with Windows and/or Unix
• Experience using Git
• Experience documenting code and methodologies
• Familiarity with unit and integration testing
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Spring and Java
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of scalable and parallelized architectures
• Understanding of Intelligence Community customers and priorities
