Software Engineer - Test Systems

Responsibilities

• Manage service project scopes, implementation, and coordination of service activities involving internal and external parties.
• Perform root-cause analyses for technical issues involving software (PLC/automation), hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose, repair, maintain, and install test systems to support validation processes both remotely and at customer sites.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering expertise for the commissioning, service support, and upgrading of test systems.
• Develop technical processes and training courses for the maintenance and calibration of test systems.
• Establish and maintain customer relationships to optimize service business growth.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
• 2–4+ years of professional engineering experience in a technical sales or service environment, specifically in production automation or automotive applications.
• Solid experience with controls engineering and software/hardware for electric drive systems or sensor applications.
• Proficiency in Siemens and/or Rockwell PLC programming environments.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical component functionalities.
• Knowledge of robotics technology and programming (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka).
• Ability to read and analyze complex electrical and mechanical engineering drawings/blueprints in DIN/ISO standard formats.
