Software Engineer - Telematics

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, robust telematics backend systems to process high-volume, real-time telemetry data from millions of connected devices.
• Architect and implement data processing pipelines using technologies like Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and stream processing frameworks.
• Develop cloud-based data storage and analytics solutions leveraging distributed databases, data warehouses, and time-series databases.
• Implement device-to-device (D2D) communication systems to enable direct data exchange and reduce latency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, DevOps, and product managers, to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Integrate advanced analytics and machine learning to derive actionable insights for predictive maintenance and risk assessment.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in Go, C++, or Python.
• Experience with cloud-native application development and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of data processing and streaming technologies like Kafka, Spark, or MQTT.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of API design, RESTful services, and microservices architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with real-time stream analytics platforms for continuous telematics data feeds.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including encryption and authentication.
• Familiarity with IoT data protocols and third-party telematics aggregators.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools for production environments.
• Background in event-driven architecture and serverless computing.
• Understanding of automotive or transportation industry standards.
