Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, create, and maintain relational databases
• Write scripts and instructions for data migration during software upgrades
• Design and implement database backups, recovery programs, and security protocols
• Produce technical documentation regarding database changes for customers and co-contractors
• Troubleshoot technical issues and analyze user feedback
• Implement emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to software development
• Execute and document software research and development projects

Requirements

• Active U.S. Secret Clearance (with ability to obtain TS/SCI)
• 3+ years of experience with VB.NET or C#.NET (including .NET Framework)
• 2+ years of experience with Bash, CMD, PowerShell, or other scripting languages
• 2+ years of database administration experience
• 1+ years of experience with SQL or another relational database
• 1+ years of experience with MSSQL or Transact-SQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a STEM field
• CompTIA Security+ Certification or higher
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, nUnit, or MSTest)
• Experience with Windows Desktop Development and Windows environments
• Proficiency with Project Management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira) or CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Microservices, RESTful APIs, or Containerized software
• Experience with Agile methodologies and C++
