About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services and APIs that power patient booking, clinician routing, logistics, and device integrations
- Ship full-stack product features end to end, from data modeling and business logic to UI and user flows
- Solve complex operational challenges like scheduling, dispatch, safety checks, and error prevention at scale
- Integrate with external health systems, telemedicine platforms, and medical devices in a reliable, secure way
- Work closely with product, data, ops, and clinical teams to turn real-world problems into shipped software
- Own projects from 0→1, make architectural decisions, and help evolve engineering practices as the company scales
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and scaling backend or full-stack systems in production
- Proven experience designing APIs, data models, and services that power real user-facing products
- Experience leading projects or pods end to end, from architecture and planning to delivery
- Experience mentoring junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
- Experience working in high-growth startups or environments where speed and ambiguity coexist
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building or scaling products in health tech, logistics, or operationally complex environments
- Understanding of supply/demand dynamics, such as forecasting, routing, or scheduling
- Experience scaling backend systems to support rapid growth and high-volume data
- Familiarity with regulated environments, including HIPAA, security, and privacy best practices
