Software Engineer (Staff)

Responsibilities

• Design and ship experiments to drive patient bookings, including message copy tests and new in-product booking flows
• Optimize multi-channel engagement across SMS, phone, email, and mail to reach underserved patients
• Define and monitor funnel metrics to understand drop-off, activation, and conversion
• Run rapid brainstorms and sizing exercises to prioritize growth bets
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to turn insights into shipped features
• Test unconventional tactics and simulate outreach volume to match clinical supply and demand

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 2-3 years of experience on a growth or experimentation-focused team
• Proven experience building backend systems for messaging, funnels, or activation flows
• Experience mentoring earlier-career engineers and taking ownership of projects
• Strong data-driven decision-making skills to identify opportunities and prioritize builds
• Ability to balance speed and impact in a high-growth startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping experiments that directly move core metrics like activation, conversion, or retention
• Comfort owning the full loop: sizing, building, launching, and measuring
• Experience in zero-to-one or product-led growth (PLG) environments
• Proficiency with our tech stack: TypeScript, Python, AWS (AppSync, DynamoDB, Lambda), and GraphQL
