Software Engineer, Staff – Audio Software Technology

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate cutting-edge audio technology on platforms powered by Qualcomm SoCs
• Drive feature design, development, integration, and commercialization of audio software and applications
• Develop embedded audio and voice software for a wide array of smart devices including smartphones, smart speakers, and automotive products
• Engage in open development processes through the AudioReach™ SDK community

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's with 1+ year experience or PhD also considered)
• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python
• Experience with embedded system development

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded system development experience, specifically with ARM running Linux or Zephyr
• Knowledge of Linux kernel or Zephyr architecture and device driver development
• Understanding of power and performance considerations on embedded systems and DSP platforms
• Familiarity with multimedia frameworks such as Pipewire and ALSA
• Experience with audio bus interfaces (I2S, TDM, SoundWire) and audio mixed-signal peripherals (CODEC, speaker amp, digital microphone)
