Software Engineer Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software solutions for Prime Services, participating in the full project life cycle from design to deployment.
• Partner with peer engineers, architects, and business partners to design and integrate scalable solutions.
• Conduct gap analysis and requirements assessments to understand business needs.
• Write production-quality code, design database schemas, and implement automated testing (functional, regression, and performance).
• Write deployment scripts and leverage DevOps tools and pipelines to promote code.
• Support solutions in production and refactor legacy code as needed.
• Communicate technical requirements effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with OOP Programming, Java, J2EE, and the Spring Framework.
• 2+ years of experience with Webservices (Tomcat or Weblogic preferred).
• 2+ years of experience with Unix/Shell Scripting (Bash, Perl, Python, etc.).
• 2+ years of experience with message-oriented middleware (JMS, IBM MQ, Tibco EMS, or Kafka).
• 2+ years of experience with UI Frameworks such as Vue.js or React.
• 2+ years of experience in Database development (Oracle, Sybase, or PL/SQL).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and the JIRA toolset.
• Experience with DevOps and version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket).
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced English proficiency (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior development experience in a capital markets Prime Broker or trade booking role.
• Experience developing applications using SOA architecture.
• Experience with automated deployment processes.
