Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative software for training and analytical simulation projects, including seabed-to-space modeling and game-based training systems.
• Design and implement user interfaces and graphical user interfaces (GUI).
• Implement cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, voice recognition, and data mining.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from initial planning through testing and sustainment.
• Use analytical and problem-solving skills to program in modern languages and operating system environments.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a DoD SECRET security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of recent software application development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern object-oriented programming language, such as C#, Java, or C++.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance.
• Experience with C++, .Net, OpenGL, Lua, Qt, or physics modeling.
• Experience with Unity or GUI development.
• Knowledge of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with LVC Distributed Simulation Networking Protocols (e.g., DIS) or sensor simulation.
