Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement extensible platform and framework components for security detectors and responders
• Build high-availability, high-scale product features and services for risk management
• Leverage industry benchmarks like CIS to develop security posture assessments
• Contribute to behavioral analytics pipelines and PII attribution capabilities
• Build compliance reporting, vulnerability patching, and access transparency tooling
• Partner with Product Managers to drive features from design to production deployment
• Support a developer ecosystem including integrations with Snowflake's Marketplace
• Apply AI-assisted development practices to build resilient software

Requirements

• Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments
• Strong computer science foundations in data structures, algorithms, and systems design
• Proficiency in Java and Python for backend development
• Solid SQL skills for data-driven features
• Experience shipping and on-calling production services with a focus on reliability
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with security, governance, privacy, or compliance domains
• Experience with database internals, query engines, or data platform systems
• Exposure to machine learning or AI systems for anomaly detection or risk classification
• Contributions to developer platforms, SDKs, or multi-tenant frameworks
• Experience with security benchmarks or compliance frameworks (CIS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST)
