Software Engineer, SLAM

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks related to robotics SLAM (LiDAR/Visual)
• Analyze, design, develop, and test existing and new SLAM functions using camera and LIDAR sensor inputs
• Develop test environments for new sensor systems and SLAM algorithms and apply them to products
• Generate high-quality production-level code through peer reviews and discussions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, and domain experts to identify and implement improvements
• Drive independent work with a high sense of responsibility and ownership

Requirements

• Extensive background knowledge in Image Processing and SLAM
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science or a related field with SLAM research experience, or 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Deep knowledge of robotics, computer science, machine learning, or related fields
• Proficiency in writing high-quality code using Linux, C++, and Python
• Experience collaborating via Git

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Git-based code review processes
• Ability to communicate effectively in business English
• Experience with calibration for heterogeneous sensor systems
• Experience with system-specific optimization
• Experience applying Machine Learning or Deep Learning techniques
• Technical skills in ROS, sensor fusion, probabilistic robotics, and AI computer vision algorithms
