Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build production software and learn to scale large Single Page Applications with a focus on user experience
• Experiment, prototype, and implement features to help a global user base analyze and gather data insights
• Experience backend scaling to handle multiple customers and billions of data points securely
• Own development projects from ideation through implementation, including writing automated unit tests
• Partner with engineering mentors, product managers, and designers to deliver innovative technical solutions
• Optimize the performance of various product components and document work for technical publications

Requirements

• Recent graduate (within the last 12 months) with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Intermediate to advanced grasp of Operating Systems, Data structures, and algorithms
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Legal authorization to work in the US (visa sponsorship is not available for this role)
• Ability to work in-person 40 hours a week at our San Francisco, CA or New York, NY offices
• Ability to begin a 3-month temp-to-hire role starting in May 2025 or thereafter

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or strong interest in building complex user interfaces, data visualizations, or backend systems
• Solid project management and communication abilities with the ability to own tasks end-to-end
