Software Engineer Senior

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain moderately complex code using front-end and back-end programming languages across multiple platforms
• Design, create, and deliver program specifications for code development and support
• Analyze, modify, and perform unit testing to develop concise application documentation
• Participate in client-facing meetings and vendor partnership discussions to determine solution approaches
• Support leadership in enforcing business and infrastructure application standards, including PCI security compliance
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to other software engineers
• Conduct resource estimates for various initiatives, projects, and issues

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Management Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data
• Advanced knowledge of one or more front-end or back-end languages and a moderate understanding of corresponding technologies
• Experience working with various APIs and external services
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency with Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS/RHEL, Amazon Linux) or Microsoft Windows
• Experience with Mainframe technologies including COBOL, Assembler, JCL, VSAM, or CICS

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data
• Experience with IBM Rational Tools
• Knowledge of z/OS or Tandem/HP-Nonstop operating systems
• Familiarity with DB2 or IMS DB/DC databases
• Proficiency in using version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
