About the role
Responsibilities
- Engineer automated processes to improve CI/CD solutions and accelerate delivery time.
- Drive continuous improvements in Test Environment and Release Management processes to meet industry standards.
- Review and optimize existing CI/CD solutions for automated deployments to mitigate risks and reduce costs.
- Integrate security guidelines into existing processes to strengthen governance and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues reported by development and support groups.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and coordinate release and test environment improvements.
- Provide SME support to resolve complex problems impacting releases and changes.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools, specifically within z/OS host (mainframe) environments.
- Strong scripting and programming skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or .NET.
- Understanding of Cobol programming best practices to assist in troubleshooting.
- Experience with automation and DevOps tools including Bitbucket, Jenkins, Git, Sonar, Fortify, Ansible, Jira, and Confluence.
- Familiarity with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, gateways, routers, and firewalls.
- Experience with Project Management methodologies and the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC).
