About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure software reliability, observability, and operational efficiency for core banking systems
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based APIs
- Lead, mentor, and teach team members while sharing technical knowledge
- Implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) workflows
- Support production applications through incident resolution and proactive root cause analysis
- Contribute to engineering practices and explore emerging technologies like AI/ML
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience with at least 4 years in a hands-on role
- Strong expertise in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot (Microservices)
- Proven experience with cloud-based API design and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tooling including CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
- Experience working within Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Knowledge of secure coding, authentication, and authorization practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Web Services (REST & SOAP)
- Working knowledge of Angular 2+, JavaScript, JUnit, JSON, HTML, XSL, and XML
- Experience integrating with third-party SaaS providers, libraries, and SDKs
- Background in core banking, financial systems, or regulatory compliance
