Software Engineer, Safety

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain parts of the user experience that support moderation features and global safety products
• Contribute to the full tech stack, including backend, frontend, mobile, data, and infrastructure
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, documentation, and delivering high-quality components
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Product Managers, UX designers, Data Scientists, and Marketers

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional software development experience (can include internships, school, or solo projects)
• Working knowledge of modern programming languages and frameworks
• Strong understanding of Computer Science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, and distributed computing
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent real-world experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in the safety or content moderation space
• Familiarity with Twitch's tech stack: Golang, TypeScript/React, iOS, or Android
• Experience with AWS technologies such as ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, and Step Functions
